Place of birth Manchester
Country of residence United Kingdom
Fundamental to Woolham’s work is an attempt to unravel the fragile processes of memory, specifically the relationship between events, and the sites they occupy; bringing to light uncanny irreducible playgrounds of fantasy and adventure. Accompanying his drawings of fields, canals and dilapidated buildings which recall memories from his childhood in Manchester, are three-dimensional models of recurring motives, and textual dialogues which provide a narrative structure- conferring meaning and readings to recuperate and re-imagine poignant episodes from the past.
He lives and works in London and studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
